Who we are
Katalyst Health is a sole-practitioner functional wellness and health coaching practice run by Katka Gazdik, FDN-P, based in Bellingham, WA. Katka is a certified health coach, not a licensed medical provider. You can reach us at katka@katalysthealth.us or 206-354-7242.
What we collect
When you accept cookies (or when you visit from outside the EU and don't reject), we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how readers use the site. GA4 collects:
- Pages you visit and the order you visit them in
- Where you came from (referrer)
- Your device type, browser, and approximate city-level location derived from IP address
We do not use marketing cookies, retargeting pixels, advertising trackers, or sell data to third parties. We do not collect your name, email, or any information you haven't deliberately given us (for example, by emailing us).
When we collect it
If your browser's timezone indicates you're in the European Union, we do not collect any analytics data until you click Accept on the banner at the bottom of the page. If you click Reject, or close the browser without deciding, no analytics data is collected.
If you're visiting from outside the EU, analytics collection starts when the page loads, consistent with US norms. You can stop it at any time by clicking Reject (if the banner is visible) or by emailing us to be removed.
How long we keep it
Google Analytics retains data for 14 months, after which it's automatically deleted.
Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
You have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you, and the right to opt out of analytics at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email katka@katalysthealth.us and we'll respond within 30 days.
Essential features
When you use the blog's reader controls (font size, theme), your preference is saved in your browser's localStorage. This stays on your device only — we never see or collect it. The same is true of your cookie-consent decision itself.
How to change your choice
Clear your browser's storage for this site to reset your cookie preference; the banner will reappear on your next visit (if you're in the EU). Alternatively, email us and we'll remove any analytics data associated with your visits.
